Eligibility Criteria- CMA vs MBA

To become a CMA there is certain eligibility criteria:

  • Two continuous years of professional experience in management accounting or financial management
  • Completion of Part 1 and Part 2 of the US CMA exam
  • Membership in IMA
To become MBA, there is some certain eligibility criteria:
  • The minimum eligibility criterion for admission is at least a 3-year bachelor’s degree with at least 50 % marks

Duration of the Program- CMA vs MBA

To become a CMA (Certified Management Accountant),
  • You can enroll for CMA course from an authorized training provider of CMA. Average time period of completing the CMA course is almost half a year.
  • You should join the CMA program only when you are ready to take the exam.
  • Once you enroll in the program and pay the entrance fee, you must Start taking the CMA exam within 12 months and complete the CMA program within 3 years
