ACCA is a global professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification (ACCA) and is based in the United Kingdom. ACCA constitutes of 219,000 members and 527,000 students over 179 countries. The ACCA course offered by ACCA has the lowest eligibility criteria wherein a candidate can pursue the course before graduation. The topics covered in ACCA course are Business Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and Management, Corporate and Business Law, Performance Management and Analysis, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Audit and Assurance on an advanced level. It is a globally recognized certification in Accountancy. ACCA course provides preferential immigration in 59 countries thus providing better career opportunities globally. The minimum ACCA course duration is 2-3 years.

| As per ACCA, any of these academic qualifications are sufficient for registering for the ACCA course provided the candidate has passed 5 subjects (passed at least 3 subjects in Year XII) including English and Mathematics / Accounts. The candidate has to secure 65% marks in at least 2 subjects and over 50% marks in the others. For the Higher Secondary Certificate, the marks are out of 200, so over 130 meets the 65% requirement and over 100 meets the 50% requirement. The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants has four exam cycles every year. Candidates can opt for the exams in a computer-based exam (CBE) format or paper-based exam format. Students can take a maximum of 4 exams during each exam cycle across a maximum of 8 distinct exams over the course of a calendar year. These can be any combination of computer-based and paper-based exams.
